Info about Kenzie Clark’s SUPER Club and Fundraising Opportunity.

Western Washington University’s Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights (SUPER) club is a group dedicated to educating people (primarily on campus but also in the Bellingham community) about the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Palestine. We advocate for justice in Palestine and for all other oppressed peoples. Overall, our work centers around providing resources for folks to learn more, examining American media bias on Palestine and learning to critique it, hosting events to support Palestinian culture in the face of erasure, engaging in actions and campaigns to spark conversations about Palestine and create ways for our community to support Palestinians, and building solidarity with other clubs promoting justice for marginalized people.

This year, the National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) conference is being held in LA, from November 16-18. WWU SUPER is sending 4 of our steering members to this amazing opportunity to learn more about organizing and activist work, as well as to connect with other clubs across the country. This conference is entirely student organized – one of our steering members will also be presenting about productive community organizing. We’re raising money to help fund plane ticket costs, as well as any other travel expenses between Bellingham and LA. Any funds that do not go to NSJP needs will go into our club fund for various events that we host throughout the year, including educational events that raise awareness about Palestine, collaborations with other clubs, and other actions on campus. Any donation is helpful – if you cannot donate, please share this campaign!
