Multi-Faith Alternative Holiday Fair - Sunday, November 23, 1pm to 4pm

Multi-Faith Alternative Holiday Market

Thank you to all who participated in this years Multi-Faith Alternative Holiday Market. We extend our thanks not just to the merchants who support sustainable, fair-trade market goods, but to all visitors of our holiday market whose purchases help benefit our own community as well as many communities around the globe.

The 2008 Multi-Faith Alternative Holiday Market was hosted and organized by Assumption Catholic Church, Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, Dharmakirti Buddhist Center, First Christian Church, First Congregational Church, First Presbyterian Church, Islamic Society of Whatcom County, and Saint James Presbyterian Church.

Local causes supported by the 2008 Multi-Faith Alternative Holiday Market included the Bellingham Food Bank, Sean Humphrey House, Fair Trade Foods, Fair Trade Haven, WomenCare Shelter, Lighthouse Mission, Interfaith Coalition, Community to Community, Northwest Therapeutic Riding Center, Whatcom Peace and Justice Center, Mt. Baker Red Cross, Opportunity Council, Whatcom Land Trust, and Whatcom County Habitat for Humanity.

You'll also be supporting far reaching causes, like the rebuilding of the Bolenge Hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Work of Human Hands, Bread for the World, Church World Service, UC Davis Bee Research, Sindyanna of Galilee, Children of Peace Foundation, Heifer International, Slum Doctor, Atfaluna, and Children of Faith.

Although this year's holiday market has now come and gone, we hope that you will join us again, or perhaps for the first time, in the coming year at our next event.
